2. What data we collect and why
When you join a waitlist:
We collect your email address only. We use it to notify you when Noor or Tala launches
and to share relevant updates. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any
email we send you.
When you contact us directly:
If you email us at hello@sed.studio or
legal@sed.studio, we collect your email address,
name (if provided), and the content of your message. We use this to respond to your
enquiry.
When you visit our website:
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not store personal data.
No IP addresses or fingerprinting data are retained. See our Cookie policy (in this
modal) for details.
We do not collect: payment or banking information, data from minors
(under 18), special categories of personal data (health, ethnicity, political opinions,
etc.), or any data beyond the email address you choose to share.
Note on Noor and Tala: Noor (operational diagnostic) and Tala
(service diagnostic) are in development and not yet available. We are not currently
collecting or processing any conversational or diagnostic data. When these tools launch,
this policy will be updated to describe how that data is handled.
3. Legal basis for processing
- Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR): When you voluntarily sign up to a
waitlist.
- Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR): To respond to
enquiries you send us and to follow up on expressed interest in our services.
4. Where your data is stored
- Waitlist email addresses: Stored in EmailOctopus (UK,
GDPR-compliant under UK + EU adequacy decisions).
- Email correspondence: Stored in Google Workspace.
- Website analytics: Aggregated and anonymised by Cloudflare. No
identifiable data is retained.
- Website hosting: Cloudflare Pages (global CDN). Cloudflare
processes request metadata under its standard terms and GDPR-compliant DPA.
Your data is not transferred outside the EU/EEA except where noted above, and always
under appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions).
5. How long we keep your data
- Waitlist email addresses: Until you unsubscribe or request
erasure.
- Email correspondence: Duration of any business relationship, plus
10 years (Luxembourg legal requirement for business records).
- Website analytics: Aggregated, anonymised — no identifiable data
retained.
6. Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your
personal data, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. To exercise any
of these rights, contact us at legal@sed.studio.
We will respond within 30 days.
7. Complaints
If you believe your data protection rights have been violated, you may lodge a
complaint with the Luxembourg data protection authority:
